Awareness – Safety, Respect and Protection in Our Shared Experience

Awareness at the EuroGames Frankfurt 2028 provides the framework that ensures diversity, inclusion and accessibility are not only goals, but lived realities throughout the event. While diversity makes visible who participates, and inclusion shapes how everyone can take part, awareness defines how we interact with one another — with attentiveness, respect and free from discrimination.

For us, awareness is both an attitude and a structure. We create spaces in which boundaries are respected, in which people can find support, and in which discriminatory behaviour has no place. A trained awareness team will be available throughout the event, offering low-threshold assistance and confidential support for anyone who needs it. Clear reporting pathways, visible information and transparent procedures ensure that everyone knows where to turn. 

Awareness is the social safety layer of the EuroGames. It strengthens our sense of community, prevents boundary violations, fosters a respectful atmosphere and ensures that all people — regardless of identity, body, background or experience — can feel safe. In this way, the values we articulate become tangible in our shared experience.

Awareness – Sicherheit, Respekt und Schutz im gemeinsamen Erleben 

Awareness ist für die EuroGames Frankfurt 2028 der Rahmen, der sicherstellt, dass Diversität, Inklusion und Barrierefreiheit nicht nur Ziele sind, sondern im Alltag gelebt werden. Während Diversität sichtbar macht, wer teilnimmt, und Inklusion gestaltet, wie alle teilhaben können, sorgt Awareness dafür, wie wir miteinander umgehen – achtsam, respektvoll und frei von Diskriminierung.

Awareness bedeutet für uns eine Haltung und eine Struktur zugleich: Wir schaffen Räume, in denen Grenzen respektiert werden, in denen Menschen Unterstützung finden und in denen diskriminierendes Verhalten keinen Platz hat. Geschulte Awareness-Teams sind während der gesamten Veranstaltung ansprechbar, bieten niedrigschwellige Hilfe an und unterstützen Betroffene bei Bedarf vertraulich. Klare Meldestrukturen, sichtbare Hinweise und transparente Regeln sorgen dafür, dass alle wissen, wohin sie sich wenden können.

Awareness ist damit der soziale Schutzraum der EuroGames: Sie stärkt das Miteinander, verhindert Grenzverletzungen, fördert ein respektvolles Klima und stellt sicher, dass sich alle Menschen – unabhängig von Identität, Körper, Herkunft oder Erfahrung – sicher fühlen können. So soll das, was wir in unseren Werten formulieren, im gemeinsamen Erleben spürbar werden.
